20131014 opendoorThe purpose of Open Door Baptist Missions is to promote the work of Christ in regions that have been closed to the Gospel or that presently have little or no Gospel witness. We strive to accomplish this task while the Lord has set before us an open door. (Revelation 3:8)
This is done through the collective support of local churches. We stand ready to help fundamental, Bible-believing churches place their missionary candidates on the field of God’s call.
It is our desire to give the Gospel to those who have never heard. We endeavor to partner with those who are already laboring in the harvest fields and help train those who will be the leaders of tomorrow.

Monthly Missionary Updates

► During the past four years in Haiti, Harry  & Melissa Peart have concentrated on faithful teaching in Sunday school, weekly Bible studies, and evangelism. Over the past three months the Lord has given much fruit in their evangelistic outreaches. Praise the Lord for the spiritual nourishment of forty teens at a recent teen camp. Pray for spiritual strength as they continue to battle demonic activity.

►Alvin & Sharon Weiss  are blessed by the faithfulness of God’s people in their church in Cuernavaca, Mexico. They have had new visitors come to their Sunday service. A young man, who is being discipled, has had victory over marijuana usage for over a month. Another man who has been coming to church in the evenings was recently saved. Pray for their five mission churches to be fruitful.

From the Director

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;  Col. 1:10  The daily challenge that every Christian faces is to please our heavenly Father. To walk worthy is putting into practice the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit in the believer is evidence of a regenerated heart. A lack of good fruit is often an indication of a heart that has not been transformed by God. Although a true Christian is far from perfect, patterns of godly thoughts, words, and actions that please the Father are usually a part of his life. The Holy Spirit gives power to the believer to live a godly life. The Spirit’s power in coordination with knowledge of the Father through His Word produces fruit.  Let us draw closer to our Lord daily in His Word.
